Colour is most of what we do.
Three things bring most people up our stairs: blonde that grows out without a line, balayage painted by hand, and colour that has gone wrong and needs putting right. It all happens in the colour room, in north light, the truest light there is for judging colour.
Lived-in blonde
Painted on by hand, lighter where the sun would catch it, with the root softened to sit close to your own colour.
From £165. About 3 hours.
Balayage
Brightness painted freehand through brown or dark blonde hair, for light without going fully blonde.
From £140. About 2½ hours.
Colour correction
For colour that has gone brassy, patchy or too dark, at home or elsewhere. It starts with a free consultation, and is priced there.
From £85 an hour, with a senior stylist or Nadia.
How lived-in blonde grows out

Day one.
Painted by hand, lighter where the sun would catch it. The root is softened to sit close to your own colour, so there is no line to grow out from.
Week six.
Hair grows about a centimetre a month. With no line to give it away, the new root reads as depth, not regrowth.
Week twelve.
About three centimetres, still soft. Most of our blondes come back now, or at sixteen weeks, for a gloss and a few fresh pieces.

Cuts for straight, wavy and curly hair.
Downstairs on the cutting floor, step-free, by the window onto the lane. Every cut includes a finish, and fringe trims between cuts are free.
Long, short and in between
A cut and finish takes an hour. Ellis cuts most of our short hair and men's cuts. Book a restyle when you want a big change, so there's time to talk it through.
Curly and coily hair
Tasha cuts curls dry, one at a time, so she can see where each one sits, then finishes with a diffuser. Allow an hour and a half.
